We are Home!!!!!

What a crazy 3 1/2 weeks it was while we were waiting for Ava's arrival and our return home. We survived! We spent the first 9 days in Columbus in a hotel and at the hospital many hours. Then we traveled to Mason, OH where we stayed at our friend Amy's house while she was visiting family in Texas. It was great to be able to spend our first week together just the 4 of us. From there we went to Loveland, OH to stay with Darren's parents. We were there from the 29th of December to January 7th. The only hiccup was that I was accused of moving the pankcade mix by Joe. By the end of the visit he said, "maybe he remembers using the last of it". HA!

When we arrived home at 9:30pm on Wednesday (after church) we unloaded 2 cars of baggage. Our entry way and family room was filled with clothes, toys, Christmas gifts, hand-me-down clothes for Ava, and laundry. I've never seen a mess in my house that bad except on the day we moved in. It took me 3 days to get everthing back where it belonged.

Everyone slept much better in their own beds and Ava did great in her crib in her own room. She is a very noisy sleeper, so Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the quiet in their room.

Carson walked in a looked at all the toys from Christmas that he didn't get to play with because Daddy and Mawmaw and Papa brought them home cause there wasn't room at grandma and grandpa's. He said, " WHOA!" and he was up until 1am opening, putting together, and playing with all his new toys.

The first week home has been eventful. We purchased a new desk and put it in the living room so that we can make room in the 4th bedroom for a playroom. So I've been trying to get everything moved and organized. The office is complete, but the play room still needs some work. I'll leave that for next week.

Ava was already 7lbs 11oz last week. We go for her 1 month checkup on the 20th. She has grown so I'm guessing she will be over 8 lbs. She's sleeping 4-5 hours at night which is great! She is almost ready to smile. She loves looking around and really perks up when she hears Carson and she will follow him with her eyes.

Her hair is still growing. I so hope it doesn't fall out. We are having a photographer come to our house to take pictures on the 24th.

Until then, here's a photo of Ava and Carson.
