Being a Mommy is a wonderful thing! I have enjoyed so much the past year and watching this little baby grow into an active, babbling, smart little boy. He is the joy of my life. For all my friends out there who will soon experience motherhood for the first time, stop every day and remember something so small - just a tiny detail - and write it down. It goes so fast that you will soon forget.

Christmas Eve at the Museum Center
We took a family outing to the Museum Center. Carson enjoyed the Holiday Junction. He has really become a train lover. He even got to ride on the kids only train. We also visited the other musuems. Carson's favorite was the giant ball pit and the car. See me in the bottom right corner. You can only see my little head.

Holiday Trip Downtown
Today I went with my cousins on my mommy's side to see the trains downtown and visit Santa. We all met and took the Metro bus downtown. The bus ride was alot of fun. I can't believe I didn't even have to sit in a car seat. I stood and looked out the window the entire ride.
Here we are at the bus stop.
Here we are at the trains. All 9 boys (you can't see Clay in the picture because Mommy cut him off :( ) and Bella.

Christmas Party!
We attended a Christmas Party with friends from church. Santa also visited the party and had gifts for every kid. I got a piggy bank with coins that teaches me to count. I was able to sit on Santa's lap. I enjoyed playing with the toys and all the other kids. Mamaw and Papa fed me cookies, cake, and candy. I didn't go to sleep until 12:30am.

Visting Santa
We went to visit Santa at Florence Mall this evening. As we approached Santa, I was shaking my head "no" the whole way. I was not going to sit in this big red man's lap. Then what do you know, Mommy gave me right over to him. Didn't she understand that I said "no". I didn't cry because I want my toys on Christmas, but I sure wasn't going to smile.

Deck the Halls....
Carson was very interested in all the ornaments as we put them on the tree. He gets very excited about the ones shaped like a ball. He is very good about not touching the tree or the train. He will sit and watch the train go around for the longest time. He does like to put his toy animals in the cargo car for a ride.

Fall Leaves
Family Trip
We enjoyed our weekend at Lake Cumberland. We did some walking around the falls and ALOT of playing with my cousins at the cabin.
Here we are outside the cabin...Papa's taking the photo.
At Cumberland Falls.
This is a great view of the falls. I (Mandi) went here many times as a child with my grandparents and parents. It's fun to take Carson places that are from my childhood.

1st Pumpkin Patch Visit
We went to Daniel's Pumpkin Patch and Petting Zoo with some friends from church this morning. It was a HOT Fall morning! Carson didn't like the scarecrow, so we couldn't take his picture too close. He loved playing on the train and tractor and ecspecially drivivng. We took a hayride to the patch and picked out a pumpkin. All the excitement made Carson very tired - he fell asleep on the ride home.
Carson liked watching the animals, but he didn't want to touch them.
Mrs. Sarah thinks Carson's going to grow up to be a farmer since he loves driving the tractor.

Our trip to Split Rock
Today we set out at 9am to visit Split Rock Conservation Park in Petersburg, KY. You may wonder why there are not photos. It's because Daddy and Mommy did not know that this Park isn't open to the public. So instead we stopped at Gap Outlet and at Moe's for lunch. Right now, I'm saying good-bye so I can go take my nap. Hopefully you enjoy my blog that's updated - since Mommy has been very busy the last few weeks chasing me around the house and in all my hiding spaces she has been behind :)

Visit to Baby Clay
I have a new cousin on Mawmaw's side of the family (yes the 8th boy - only 1 girl). We went to the hospital to see him today. He's very tiny at only 6 lbs 14 oz. He was born on September 20th. He is very healthy and cute. I held him and touched his face - It was precious. I'll post my photo of me (Carson) holding him when Aunt Melanie sends it to us. Here's a photo of me on the way home. Hospital visits wear me out.

My ELMO Chair
My tigger chair that Grandma and Grandpa gave me for my birthday didn't fit my little self, so I got a new ELMO chair in the mail. I was very curious to see what was in the box.

Carson's 1st Birthday Party
There were about 35 people at Carson's 1st Birthday Party. It was going to be at the park, but with the weather forecast calling for thunderstorms we had it at our house. Of course, it didn't rain. But we were much cooler in the house since the temps were in the 90's.
Here's his Elmo and Big Bird cake.
Daddy went out and brought him back some Elmo balloons. Here he is waiting for the guests to arrive and playing with his hat and balloons. We told him all about his party all morning, but of course he wasn't prepared for the crowd and noise. He was clinging to mommy at times, but all-in-all he had a great time.

Elmo visited for Carson's birthday party. This is the pinata we got for the older kids. Carson and his buddy Max weren't quite ready for pinata action. In fact, Carson screamed as the other 10 kids were diving for candy (and yelling). It was FUN but scary for Carson.
Mommy and Daddy got him a Power Wheel Lil' Quad. He giggled and laughed as he zoomed (less then 2mph) along. Max had to take a try and he also enjoyed it (I think his mama and papa need to get him a Lil' Quad). Carson was not happy that Max was riding HIS toy and the mommy's had to break up the fight. :)
Carson dove head first (no hands) into his cake. He loved it! He ate half this little cake and we finally had to intervene. He was a little ham for the cameras and guests. He laughed after every bite as everyone watched.
At the end of the day Carson went to bed and after 30 minutes Mommy and Daddy heard snoring over the monitor. That was a first!
